VA Corporation realizes Imjingak in the LED studio with virtual production with Gyeonggi-do

VA Corporation successfully implemented a virtual production technology that recreates the appearance of Imjin War, with the goal of delivering an emotional experience to the audience.

On January 31, the company announced that they had successfully concluded their "2022 Peace Blossoms Live" performance in collaboration with Gyeonggi Province. The performance combined a musical and a fashion show to convey a message of peace, and was live-streamed on Gyeonggi Province's YouTube channel for an hour.

VA Corporation used its virtual production technology to perfectly recreate the scene of Imjingak, where holds the painful memory of the Korean War, and provided emotional moments to veterans.

The company participated in the planning, digital IP production, virtual studio shooting, and broadcast of the virtual live performance, "2022 Flowers Blossoming for Peace", which was a combination of a musical and fashion show. The company particularly focused on creating the Imjingak area, which was impossible to shoot as a control zone for civilians, through its virtual technology, and provided deep emotions and memories.

VA Corporation used 3D broadband scanning and photogrammetry techniques with LiDAR sensors in order to complete this show. This allowed for detailed visualizations of the Imjin War site, such as bullet holes on trains and ribbons carrying messages of peace. VA Corporation also used its own technologies, such as Unreal Engine and In-camera VFX, to perfectly recreate the 3D background of the Imjin War with night sky and sunsets.

Kim Dong-eon stated that the show was created based on the longing of the director for their hometown and hoped that the company's technology would be utilized for a better life and hope.
