VA Corporation signs MOU with Skonec Entertainment to expand VR business

VA Corporation strengthens its VR content production pipeline to expand its Metaverse business.

VA Corporation announced that have signed a business agreement (MOU) with Skonec, an XR-based metaverse technology company, to exchange technologies for joint VR content development projects and to develop and commercialize VR-AR realistic content production

With the MOU, two companies will collaborate on their respective core competencies and technologies. VA Corporation will provide digital data, IP assets, and VFX (visual special effects) technology for content produced in its virtual studio, VA Studio, and Skonec will provide VR and XR technology for Vconec Live (virtual character broadcasting) and spatial perception to secure a differentiated VR business model.

"This business agreement with Skonec is an opportunity to further expand our metaverse content business," said Kim Dong-eon, CEO of VA Corporation. "By adding our unique content creation infrastructure and technology to Skonec's VR and XR content technology, we plan to create content applied to various fields, build new business models, and create synergies between our companies."
