VA Corporation (CEO Kim Dong-eon) participated in the demonstration of virtual production at the Netflix’s Virtual Production Open House in South Korea held for four days from July 11. The Virtual Production Open House aimed to help understand virtual production.
VA Corporation demonstrated the virtual production technology along with WESTWORLD and its subsidiary, VA Studio. 'Virtual Scouting' technology to visualize on-site locations in a virtual environment in advance, and a virtual camera using a real-time render engine, previsualization stage to produce high-quality results implemented directly.
VA Corporation showed various videos on LED backdrops by using 3D in-camera VFX (ICVFX), real-time engine, and camera tracking technology in order to enhance understanding and utilization of virtual production for industry.
Director Kim Woo-hyeong, VA Corporation CCO (Chief Creative Officer) and cinematographer who is famous for the films <1987> and <Assassination>, was in charge of the overall program. In addition, he explained the features and efficiency of virtual production.
